We've been having some instances where emails from the agenda are being delayed in delivery to a few members by days. The first instances happened at the beginning of June, then it seemed as though things had worked themselves out, so I didn't worry about it.

However, this morning I got three out-of-office messages (in response to a 6/17 agenda email) that could only have been triggered by a delayed email. Unfortunately those people are on vacation, so I can't contact them to see if delivery was indeed delayed, but two of those three reported the delayed email issue to me previously in June.

Below is a header from one of the earlier delayed messages.

We do not delay any email, but many ISP are using greylisting for hosts that they have not been told to approve. Greylisting forces the sender to re try to send the email many times beofre it is accepted.

We would need to know who's email delivery was delayed. I need the exact email address

Interesting, because most of our members are @syr.edu emails, but only a few of them are getting delayed.
Here are the ones I know about: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., and This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. We have 14 other members with email addresses that end in @syr.edu. When I sent out a message earlier this month, only these three people reported having delayed email.

You need to have them talk to the university they are limiting the amount of mail we can send.

Thanks! I'll do that.

Is it normal for that to happen to the same people every time?
