I am currently listed as the administrator of the club site. There are some new officers that I would like to give admin rights to but NOT change them to the admin. I thought that there was a process to go through to do that. They have tried to use the admin username and password, but they can’t get in.

Also is there a way that I can take last year’s officers off of the “admin rights”?

Thank You

1) There is only 1 site admin user and password per club website how your club manages the admin user is up to your club.

2) You need to use the drop down "Assign Officer, Guest, Former Member Status" under the main member box to change the officer roles

Thank you for your immediate response.

I get the single admin and officer pull-down on the membership part..

What I was trying to ask was:
1. I have given the admin console username and passwords to a few of the officers. A couple members have said that they can't get in.
2. As the administrator is there something I have to do to grant them admin privileges? I thought there was some process that was done to add me.
3. If I don't have to do anything do you have any thoughts about their log in problems?

Finally. if there are past officers that have the info to get into the admin function is there anything, (short of changing the password) that I can do to "un-grant" them access?

Thanks again
Paul

Paul,

If you have given them the password and it is not working for them, make sure they know it is case-sensitive. Also, they may need to clear their cache and check their cookie settings.

Since there is only 1 admin user there is nothing to do any user as they have to use that admin user and password.

If they are using Internet Explorer it has to be at least version 8 and they need to set the cookies as per this FAQ

Change the site admin password and don't give it out to those who do not need it.
