Hello I work for the IT Networking group for a company and received a ticket for an end user that was unable to access successfulspeakers.toastmasters.org or any other toastmasters.org URL for that matter. I also see the same issue inconsistently from different pc's outside of our network.

Our network uses a web browsing proxy and can you should see the source come from 130.36.0.0/16 Here is a capture from our proxy. We see the request leave the proxy external interface but no acknowledgement or response from the server.

Any assistance on this matter would be much appreciated. I would like to know if you see the initial request hit the web server or if our subnet is being blocked at all?

Thanks,

-Nick

someone at 130.36.62.223 caused auto block on that IP range. we have removed the block but it will go back on if the behaviour is repeated.

Brian,

Thank you for your response. So it looks like based on your logs that your system (CSF I'm assuming) is seeing more than 50 Apache 404 hits within 5 minutes, and blocked our proxy due to a flood, which makes sense. I do not know why you were seeing the flood of 404 requests, but I will follow up with my end user who I believe is the successfulspeakers.toastmastersclubs.org administrator and see what could have triggered that. Could be something that he is doing that is causing this or the way our proxies cache some of your content.

Thanks again for the quick response and allowing the IP range. I will update the forum if I get any further details on the root cause of the issue.

Have a nice day!

-Nick
