Earlier this week our company appears to have started blocking emails from your site.

Emails going outside of maritz.com are being received. I have This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. as my secondary and I just tested an email sent from This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. I'm opening a support ticket with Maritz but is there anything I need from you to get you added to whitelist or removed from blacklist?

I heard back from our email support at Maritz. Here's what they responded back with. We are now getting emails after the change he made.

Message:
I looked at the last message i see from This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. was on 7/27, at that time their reputation was good and the message were allowed through.

I searched for the same IP address and rejections and show there is an issue with the TLS (encryption method) they are trying to send with. This error started on 8/1: error:14094417:SSL routines:SSL3_READ_BYTES:sslv3 alert illegal parameter'

They are using an old cipher using TLSv1. Ideally, they need to update to a newer cipher for their TLS emails.

We were only accepting: RC4-SHA:RC4-MD5:ALL
I had to change it to: HIGH:-SSLv2:-aNULL:@STRENGTH:!DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA256:!DHE-RSA-AES128-SHA256

I believe the “Null” piece is what they were using.
