The email addresses for many of our club members is in the form This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
When a prospective member uses the Contact Us button on our web site tmatthefrbboston.toastmastersclubs.org/
the following error message is returned.

The format of the e-mail address isn't correct. A correct address looks like this: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Please check the recipient's e-mail address and try to resend the message.

I am guessing that the edit doesn't want "." in the email name. Since we have no control over how our email addresses are formatted, is there a way around this edit?

Coincidently, I am actually currently looking at the functioning of the Contact Us form as it relates to email addresses.

Did you take some special vitamins of the "read your mind" variety today?

I have looked into this, and I do not see where this might be happening on our end. (yet) I have even used my club's website as a "guinea pig" and tried sending from This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to myself as the sole Contact Us recipient (temporarily). I did not have any problems with those email addresses.

Also, when you say "the following error message is returned", where do you see the error message? In the Contact Us form, in a return email, ... ?

Lastly, could you do us a favor and try to trigger the problem again? After you do that, let us know the specifics of when you tried to send the Contact Us and whose email address was used. (just post enough of it here that we can find it--do not want to invite spam) Brian has access to our email logs and he can look it up to verify that it went through our system.

I am wondering if maybe the error message may be coming from one of your Contact Us recipients' email providers.
