Re: Website 1600912.toastmastersclubs.org

I'm serving as coach to this club and they had a problem ... people submitting contact requests which were not emailed to the three
people set up to receive contacts. Investigation showed the following:

Logged in as admin, launched admin console, changed 3rd. responder to myself, saved. Got out of admin console.
sent test contact form ... it worked.

Logged out, logged back in as admin, launched admin console, edit contact list and canceled...ok , sent test contact request, email was delivered, THEN launched admin console again, pulled down "edit default pages" ... ALL Pull downs blank, zero/one character wide, could not be changed! If the items had been SAVED at that time, no contacts would be active! Instead, canceled and closed admin console. Logged back in as admin, launched admin console, selected edit default pages ... ALL looked OK!

Can you try to reproduce or explain the problem. Obviously to me, somebody SAVED a "bad" contact list at some point, killing forwarding of the form, whereas I saw it was "wrong" and canceled out. Key seems to be if you change "contacts" and
send a test input contact within the same session, the pull downs are inoperative it you try to edit the contacts again within
that same session.

Bill more than likely it is a chrome issue. Not the first time we have seen chrome misbehave.

Unfortunately I have mostly disabled/uninstalled IE on this machine. I will try to reproduce the error from my laptop which still has Internet Exploder viable (if it ever was)! I'll get back to you.

I have reproduced the error under IE 8 and IE 9 as well as Google Chrome. The problem seems to be that if someone sends a contact
request right after you change the contact list, the next time (only) you launch the admin editor for contacts, all the pull-downs are
zilch. Of course, if you save that screen ... poof go the contacts!

I have run the scenario on an Gateway desktop using Google Chrome, and an IE 8 test on HP desktop running Windows XP and
on another laptop running Windows 7.

If you meant that I

(0) Log in as administrator, launch admin console (1) edit the contacts page (2) exit admin console; (3) exit admin login. (4) test fill out a contact request (5) re-log in as administrator and re-edit contacts page (at this point it has no visible names and will not accept any typing inputs); (6) cancel editing attempt; (7) exit admin console. (8) Log out as admin (9) log back in as admin (10) edit contacts page (now looks OK!) ... yes, all the above on a single machine at one sitting, but replicated later on a different machine running IE 8 or IE 9 or Chrome.
