This is for the District 33 Fall Conference. I am the Conference Chair and all the paperwork, except the Website security agreement, has been turned in to set-up the merchant account on our FTH District Website to receive and process credit card payments. This is the best route so that we are not having to do this every year. There is an issue with PayPal, making it impossible to utilize that payment gateway.

US Bank's requirement reads as follows: "Your company’s website must satisfy the security/Internet requirements set forth by VISA U.S.A., Inc. and MasterCard International, Incorporated (the “Card Associations”) and adhered to by the Elavon Network for all electronic commerce merchants for an approval. If your website obtains a conditional approval, in order to bring your web site into compliance, you must secure the order page of the web site so that cardholder numbers and other important information are adequately protected, and/or update your website to meet the Internet requirements provided to you during the application process. Your business will be allowed to process credit card transactions with your conditional approval."

The question is: is there a protocol or something else that we need to do to ensure that our FTH District 33 website meets the VISA USA and MasterCard International's security/internet requirements?

We do not provide secure web services. We have no intentions of being PCI compliant.

Your Bank/CC processor should provide a secure page to collect the information and CC numbers.

What is your issue with PayPal?

Thank you for the response, Brian.
PayPal explained that we would have to set-up a new bank account and we simply cannot open up another District account. The Webmaster from two DG;s ago will not release the PayPal password for the account. Last year's treasurer set-up a PayPal account using his own personal and bank data.
