I looked at that post... His step-by-step instructions are here.

I can't go any further than step 5 as I can't find the 'Link to this Album' anywhere. Does anyone know why?

1. Sign in or sign up for a Google Account.
2. go to picasaweb.google.com
3. Click on MY PHOTOS
4. Upload some photos into an album.
5. Click on the Album
6. Over on right, click on LINK TO THIS ALBUM
7. Click on EMBED SLIDESHOW
8, Adjust the settings as desired and copy the HTML code.
9, Go to your site.
10. Launch the Admin Console
11. Paste the code where you want it!

It is an 8 mo old thread... some things may have changed since then.

I would suggest also trying Flickr or Instagram. Flickr is covered in the thread. Check out some of the links I posted there.
I think there were reasons not to use Google picassa. (like no iframe support)
