Hi,
I am the new administrator for our club website and for the last 3 weeks I have noticed that every time I open the club website: 5160.toastmastersclubs.org or the main website www.toastmastersclubs.org the connection always times out. This was not happening earlier. I have tried using Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer. I tried deleting cookies and temporary internet files, etc. I also tried opening the links from a different computer in my home but they all produce the same connection time out. But if I open these links from my work computer or ask someone else to open them from their computer then they will open up just fine. It seems to me as if my external ip address from my home network has been blocked by the toastmastersclubs firewall.

Can someone help with this issue?

This is the error message I get from Firefox when I open my club website:

"The connection has timed out

The server at 5160.toastmastersclubs.org is taking too long to respond.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web."

Brian can check on that. Go to www.whatismyipaddress.com and post back with what it says your IP address is.

Seems you triggered a server defense by repeatily going after files that did not exist.

98.169.80.23 (US/United States/ip98-169-80-23.dc.dc.cox.net), more than 50 Apache 404 hits in the last 300 secs - Fri Oct 11 01:59:53 2013

We have removed the block

Yeah, but the question is whether the file references/requests remain in place...
