I have been the administrator for two club websites for several years (585189.toastmastersclubs.org and /1003144.toastmastersclubs.org). 4 days ago I experienced problems accessing either of the websites. Thinking that this might be temporary "bandwidth" problems, I waited. Now, I am receiving a "This page can't be displayed" and the problem is that the remote host is not responding.
I have this problem with both a Windows 7 desktop and a laptop running IE10. Strangely, I can bring up the site on a windows 8 smart phone (the site takes 40-80 seconds to load.
Other websites are working without problems?
Can you help?

I can open both sites quickly using IE10, and GoogleChrome.

Have you checked your cookie settings, etc. according to the recommendations in the documents? support.toastmastersclubs.org/docs

Also, the server may have blocked your IP address.

whatismyipaddress.com/

Can you tell us what your IP address is so Brian can check if the server is blocking it?

Steve, from my experience  , if your IP address gets blocked, then you can't access ANY FreeToastHost club site.

If Ron can load other sites, whether his or other clubs' doesn't matter, then a blocked IP isn't the problem. (Might be useful information)

Thanks for the prompt reply Roger,

Yes I have. Just checked and they are set correctly for 1st/3rd party as well as session cookies. However, I am not having problems logging in, I can't get the web page to open at all

NOTE: this is incorrect: "I can open both sites quickly using IE10, and GoogleChrome."

The problem should read "I can open both sites quickly using IE10, and Windows 7."

Ron, do you get the same IP address if you check it using your Windows phone?

Not sure. the phone was set up for me by Verizon. Can't easily locate the IP but since it is Verizon Mobile, I suspect that it is different.

Now I am even more confused. Since I can go to every other site without problems, I have not suspected IE 10 as the problem. Any advice as to that to do next?

Have you applied system updates?

What browser add-ins are you using? Can you try running the affected browsers without add-ins and see if that makes a difference?
(Could be a conflict with an add-in)

Thanks for the suggestion.

I have various add-ons from Adobe Apple QuickTime and Microsoft as well as others that are disabled. I'll start checking.

Also, just noticed, I am using Windows 7 (64 bit) with IIE 10 (32 bit) I don't think this should make a difference since up until last Wed. This configuration was running everything without problems

A funny thing happened on the way to the forum this morning. As quickly as the problem occurred, it has vanished.

No rhyme; no reason. Just a week of not being able to access the FreeToasthost websites that has mysteriously corrected itself. Much thanks to all who provided inputs.
