I am seeing strange behaviour when I delete members using the Admin/Membership Management console.

When I delete the members name out of the list and press "Save", I get an "are you sure?"window appearing.

When I select "Delete" from that window, it stays open but the background console reverts to Admin/Basic Settings.

The only way I can get rid of the "Are you sure?" dialogue is to close it using the top right hand X. This takes me into the Basic Settings console.

If I then reselect Membership Management, there is a message displayed saying "Success! Information updated. Close window or continue to edit membership info.".

I do get the end result I expect, but it the behaviour seems counterintuitive. I'd expect that the "are you sure?" dialogue would close when I selected Delete, and take me straight back to Membership Management.

I realise most people are probably moving members into Former Member, but I am just setting up our website and we have a few people who appeared to be members in a list I was sent but actually are not, hence the deletions.

Gavin,

I took a look at the code. You are correct that there was an issue there--I made a small change... I think it should be corrected now. If you clear your cache and reload the site, you should be running the corrected code.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. :)

Thanks for the update guys.

I can see that the behaviour has changed, when I press 'Delete' in the popup now the console screen stays on Membership Management. But the popup still remains there and I still need to press to top right X to get rid of it.

(I can provide you with a screenshot if you like but would prefer not to attach it to this post as there are lots of e-mail addresses visible.)

I primarily use Opera 12.16 but haver tested this in Chrome and Safari too and see the same behaviour.

Cheers,

Gavin

Well, after adding teddie bear, howdie doodie, obiwan kenobi, and several other "members" and then subsequently deleting them, I think all is now well. ;) (I tweaked the code some more.)
