When I complete the email and hit send, I get an error message:

The host 'SMTP' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly.
Subject 'Parkville Club Contest - March 6, 2014 - Come and bring a friend!', Account: 'IMAP', Server: 'SMTP', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

I'm not sure what to do from here. I have my original email to members and some test emails in draft waiting to be sent, but I can't see them. It just says it "failed" to send.

Is your email client setup on your PC or do you use a web based email like gmail or yahoo mail or hot mail?

I'm sending the message to the members that are listed on the website, but it will have my email listed as well which is a gmail address. I wish I had a better answer, but I am not that computer literate.

O.K. I'll get someone else to send it from the website, until I can get another officer to show me on my computer. Thanks for your help.

You usually do not send emails directly from your website, except for agenda emails.

If you are trying to send to your membership, then you would type This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. in the To box in gmail.
