I logged in as "member" and signed up on a future agenda as "Toastmaster" and discovered this no longer allows me to edit the agenda. That used to be the case and was a valuable feature. Seems like a loss in update. I am site administrator also, and can edit agendas when logged in as administrator. (Tried in different browsers - IE and Firefox - with same result.)

That is still the case - I've just tested it on one of my own sites.

Have you tried reloading the agenda? There's a link for that at the bottom of the page.

Which agenda are you working on? I don't see the Toastmaster role assigned to anyone on any of your future agendas.

Thanks, hitting reload makes the change. (I don't recall having to do that before, but maybe I did....). Members often have problems saving and seeing changes they've made, even to their own information, either because they don't hit "save" or don't refresh/reload the page. Seems like a bit of clunky site design, but perhaps it's just the way it has to be to keep us from making a bunch of changes we didn't mean to make.

Pam,
I had signed up as Toastmaster just experimentally to see how it worked before reminding club members they could do this. I realize we've got no one signed up as Toastmaster yet for any future meetings. Will have soon, and I didn't want to tell my fellow members to do something I hadn't verified they could do. Now I can give them the full procedure (including to hit "reload") to give the meeting's Toastmaster that capability. Thanks.

What browser are you using? I don't have to reload using Chrome - the agenda refreshes every time I press the "Close" button after saving.

Because FTH has just been upgraded, there may be some odd things happening that disappear when the page is reloaded.

If anything else odd happens during the next day or so, try reloading the page first. If that doesn't work, then it may be a bug and you can ask about it here.

Previously, we would tell you to clear your cache--the reload link does the same thing, essentially. Just more conveniently.

I have an automatic cache clearing mechanism in place, but it may not work for everyone, if their browser does not support local variable storage or has it blocked.

This is why we have the reload link as a fall back mechanism.

Elena, they should not need to hit reload a lot. We have a change detection mechanism that I am gradually phasing in that will prompt for a Save... it is just taking a lot of time to get it implemented and tested due to the size of the system.

If you are having a recurring problem, I want to get it resolved. I am the system developer. We will give you workarounds in the short run, but getting it fixed is better than a lot of workarounds.

The prompt to "save" will be very helpful. When that's available, do you think I'll need to "unblock" my pop up blocker for the site?
Appreciate all the utility that free toasthost does offer to clubs and your efforts to improve it.

Elena, I don't think it should affect your popup blocker. It will just be a small dialog like any other.

Actually, you can see it now. It is active for the Email and Contact Forms dialog. To see it, just change something in that dialog, then try to close it without saving. See what I mean? That is why I say it is being "phased in".

Basically, I have to scrutinize what gets changed (and when) in every dialog in the system to prevent a lot of "false positives" with this scheme. That is why it is not rolled out across the system yet. It will take a bit to get it completely implemented.

I had in in place for some more dialogs, but we were getting false alarms, so I had to disable it for now.

Thanks Steve - already saw it in action on the other forms, after my issue addressed here had been worked out. So you're right about it not activating my pop-up blocker. Good deal. Will start a new thread if I run into anything else that feels urgent. Otherwise, will check forums and be patient!
