Hello there!

I have a suggestion...

Is there a way you can make it so that the members or VP of Education can send the agenda to former members, & guests, as a sort of reminder about the meeting?

That would generate to much un-requested email and would fall into the category of spam.

If you want to send the agenda to guest and former members you will have to do it manually and we suggest you do it only on an irregular basis.

Linda,

The problem we run into, is that clubs sometimes think that if we provide a feature that we are encouraging its use (logical conclusion) and we end up getting blamed for any fallout. We have already ran into an issue this year with agenda emails being characterized as spam and the finger was pointed at our server (even though we did not initiate the email). We have to manage our reputation carefully if we expect clubs to continue to trust us with their information, so we are very hesitant about implementing features that may come back to haunt us.

Because of that, there are things we will make possible and easy, and there are things that we will make possible, but not easy.

Agenda emails to non-members falls into the latter category. I think that Brian and I are in agreement that we really do not want to make any easier than it is now to email agendas to non-members. You can print an agenda to PDF and sent it out via the existing list addresses.

I totally understand and get that...

How about where people can add when they started Toastmasters or the club... Right now, it only goes as far back as 1995 and in my (our) club, we have a couple of members who have been with Toastmasters and this club (3533) since 1970... Can you please add more dates?

Oh, the datepicker only goes back to 1995? I had not noticed that. I will take a look.

Ok, I took a look and you can actually go back as far as you like. The date picker is just not very intuitive about how to keep going back in time with the years. The developer of that plug in should put an "(Older)" selection at the top of the years to automatically scroll back the years.

What you do is pick the oldest year in the date picker. The click the year drop down again. What you will see is that every time you select the drop down it adds older dates. I think it is probably just simpler to type in the date, frankly for those more "senior TM". ;)
