When I request a web site I receive a message that an email has been sent to someone who has not been involved with the club for quite some time. I have updated the emails addresses in every location that I know of in the TMI Club Central. Where else could this defunct email address be hiding?

How recently did you make the change?

Since the new TI website went live, some of us have had to wait at least two days for the changes to go through. It's possible that, during the holiday period, it will take even longer.

There may not be much more you can do than wait, unfortunately.

Please provide your club number when asking for support then we look into the issue.

We will need the exact date you made the change at Toastmasters.org Club Central

Sorry, I have more than 40 years in IT so I tend to make some assumptions about systems integration.

Thanks for your help.

FTH is not part of Toastmasters International and has no access to Toastmasters International databases or infrastructure.

The email address showing is This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

If this is not correct when was the change request submitted and by who?

If you log into club central do you see the new email address or the old email address?

Either way I would suggest you go in and make the change again or re-save. The longest we have seen it to take is 72 hours over a weekend.

When first I got the message I immediately went to Club Central and checked all of the relevant email addresses. They were correct: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

When I continued to get the same resutls I again checked all possible Club Central sources of email addresses and all of them were correct/updated.

I will do it again now.

Thanks for your advice.

What matters to us is the email address that shows up for your club Find a Club entry which is here:

www.toastmasters.org/Find-a-Club/03912619-tesol

If you hover your mouse over the blue Email the Club button and look at the email address that shows up in the bottom left corner of the screen, you will see that the email address that shows up is the one that you are saying is the old email address.

So... Despite your belief that all the Club Central sources of email addresses are correct, I would just point you to that page for your club.

*That* is the email address that must be correct, because that is the email address that we are sending the confirmation emails to. We are doing the same query for that email address that the Find a Club page is doing.

So, somewhere in Club Central, you apparently still have an incorrect email address.

My hunch is that your personal email address is correct. However, the email address in question is a club contact email address, and, in the past, that was set on the same page as the meeting location information. (I have not seen what the updated page looks like.)

My recommendation is that you should look for a meeting information page or similar for your club in Club Central and look for a club contact email address there. Basically, look in places you have not looked before.

As I am no longer a club officer, I cannot log into Club Central to find the correct page. I am hoping that one of our FTH Ambassadors who is a club officer can log into Club Central and grab a updated screen shot of the new page and navigation directions to it for our user docs. This is something that comes up periodically, so we need to make sure we have it in our docs.

Ok. Getting back to user dwinner53 's issue, they can refer to...

support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/u...s-international-site

to ensure that the contact email address on Club Central is properly updated. Do you agree?

Jane, Steve,

The situation has progressed today - the previous president finally responded properly and I now have admin access to the website.

For your records: the email address field in questions was populated with "This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it." since more than one month.

Ah well! This thread appears to be closed.

Many thanks for you help and support! I hope to not trouble you any more.

If you are sure that the correct details are entered in Club Central but aren't showing on the find-a-club listing, then I suggest taking it up with TI once they return to full service again in a few days.

I had my own experience with updating an entry and having to wait several days for find-a-club to show the correct email address. It's not impossible that some glitch in the new site is causing the problem.
