I am attempting to Click to Assign Member: in my agenda creator from the site admin location. I was sucessful at adding all the roles except toastmaster. I have Clicked to Assign member several times and it will not save the name to the Toastmaster role. I have even tried other names. It is for the 2/4/15 agenda. B)

Ok, the issue was that you had the first toastmaster role title as *TOASTMASTER* and the remainder as *Toastmaster*. I think I got it fixed for you... I had to recreate the first Toastmaster role occurence.

The difference in case was messing things up. I had not seen this issue before, but I suspect that someplace in the code it is doing a case sensitive comparison.

In a nutshell, if you use the asterisks (or even if you do not), you have to be diligent to make sure all the role titles are consistent.

Also, "Presiding officerintroduces the TOASTMASTER" is missing a space.

You may want to consider ditching "Table Topics Master identifies role" and just having them describe their role when they do the Table Topics session.

This saves you a bit of time. It is up to you, of course, but in my club we just focus on describing the ancillary roles at the beginning for the benefit of meeting guests.

Also interesting is that your club has the Toastmaster call for the ancillary reports. In my club, we have the GE do that right before they do their GE report, since we consider ah-counter, grammarian, timer, and quizmaster (we call it the "radar person") additional types of evaluations that the GE supervises. Having the GE do it saves calling the TM back until after the GE is done and the TM does closing comments.

Each club does it a bit differently... Part of the magic of Toastmasters. :)

You still may need to fix it on your other agendas.

On the "Please select your name if you will not be attending this club meeting. Thank you for making our club communication excellent!" for the I WILL NOT ATTEND signups, keep in mind that while you see a drop down selection box in the edit dialog, the average member will just see a sign-up button next to an agenda role. There is nothing for them to select, just something for them to click.

Understood. I will correct the template. Yes, our club has done it differently and yet we have been recently discussing changing it to how you are describing...

Well, when your meeting is only an hour long, you have to make every minute count. In my club, we have two hour long meetings, but we still have to be disciplined in how we structure our meetings.

Also, take a look at your current end time... 12:58pm ... 2 minutes to spare.

My view is to always try to give any extra or unstructured time to the Toastmaster since they are the person who is accountable for keeping the meeting on time. If they are given a little extra time, they can certainly cut that if needed to end on time.

What you could do is give the 2 minutes to the Toastmaster as part of the closing meeting item... maybe call it Toastmaster's Closing Remarks and Meeting Close or something nebulous like that. Or you could give the Presiding Officer an actual minute or two for any club business. In my club we also include getting people signed up for future meetings (we use a sign-up form) as part of "club business", so including a little time for that helps us.

Again, those are just some ideas from my experience. Use what you like, ignore what you don't. ;)
