I've been a Toastmaster for almost 3 years but somehow over a year ago got locked out of the member log in. I tried all the easy fixes but they didn't work and the Toast Host person said many emails were sent to me with a reset which I never received in my inbox or spam box. Is there any way to fix this? Should I somehow re-register with a new email address?

My club is Columbians #3263.
Thanks,

Thank you for your response Brian. However, what you sent still didn't get me back in to log in as a member. Furthermore, I know a lot of people who use AOL and don't have these kind of problems. It would seem if someone has an AOL email address and forgets their password then they are doomed on the Toastmasters.org infrastructure.

If TM web software can't handle AOL then what should I do, how can I ever log in again? Do I need to re-register somewhere with a Gmail address?

Best,
Still Frazzled

I'm not sure which link you're referring to. I never received an email nor a link. The only way I'm able to get on Toast Host and talk to you is by logging in as the webmaster.
I realize Toastmasters is a labor of love for all involved. Hope to get this resolved.
Thanks

Try adding This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. as a contact in your AOL email contacts. Also, refer to the following: support2.constantcontact.com/articles/FAQ/2753#AOL

That essentially should whitelist those email addresses. Then try requesting the password reset link from the login box again.

Dear Steve,

Thanks for your help but unfortunately no luck. I pasted the email addresses you sent into my contacts and saved them and tried to log in but never received an email (and no it wasn't in my spam box). I tried to figure out the article you sent but that didn't help either.

Is there any way to go into the deep caverns of the Toastmaster email registration system and change my email address to a new address that can receive password resets?

I was recently made the president of my club and would like to check the member lists, etc on our website.

Many thanks,
Hoping for a solution

Well, I am out of ideas. :S Our system works fine with the majority of email systems, but since there sometimes are settings on the user's end that may need to be adjusted, we really cannot guarantee 100% success all the time. There are just too many variables, many that we cannot control. That is why we have docs specifically on email, and links to online references, also. Frequently, I find that it is the links embedded in some of our emails that can cause them to get spam filtered, although providing a link is often the point of the email in the first place. (e.g., password reset link)

You should be able to test if the link is causing an issue for you if your admin sends you a test email without a link using the Send Basic Email function in Membership Management. That function uses the same basic functionality as all the system generated emails.

SInce AOL email is antiquated in some respects, it is not an email system I test email functionality on. (I test on gmail, Hotmail/outlook.com, and yahoo email.) I do not have an AOL email account, nor do I intend to get one. All I can do it point you to the online reference that I have already provided.

Your club admin should be able to change your email address for you, if that is your intention.
