Hello,

I am having an issue with a link on my website. Link "Spring 2015" on 50wolfroad.toastmastersclubs.org/newsletters.html works for some users but not others. This links to file Newsletter__Spring_2015.pdf in the file manager. I tested it on 2 machines and the link works. Another individual tested the link on his machine and the pdf does not open. He gets the error message "You are not logged in. Please log in again to access this file: Newsletter__Spring_2015.pdf.

I am not seeing an issue, and you have not given us sufficient information to adequately troubleshoot any issue.

You have not told us the browsers involved or any details about what the users did that had the issue. Were they logged in, what else were they doing when they had the problem.

We are not mind readers... we need specifics to troubleshoot issues. :whistle:

It is a link. It is the only link on the whole page that does not work for one user. He clicked on each link on the page and that was the only one that did not work. He uses Internet Explorer and Windows 7. He was not logged in. He did this July 15 at 5pm.

I do not deserve your sarcasm. I hate dealing with your discussion board. I am forwarding your response to your headquarters.

I am sorry if you feel I was being sarcastic... but you did not provide specific information needed to troubleshoot the issue.

Please have the person clear his temporary internet files and cookies for the toastmastersclubs.org. Then see if he still has the issue.

He cleared the Temporary Internet Files from his browser and even then cold booted my machine. I went to: 50wolfroad.toastmastersclubs.org/newsletters.html and then clicked on the “Spring 2015” link: 50wolfroad.toastmastersclubs.org/jdownlo...ter__Spring_2015.pdf
and got the same old page:

with Toastmasters International globe graphic at top with message below it:

He clicked on the link at 12 Noon EDT, Thursday, July 16, 2015 and the error message he got (superimposed with the Internet Explorer version from the About Internet Explorer window) is included in the attached screenshot file: 20150716-noon-edt-[You are not logged in. Please log in again to access this file- Newsletter__Spring_2015.pdf]errormessage.jpg

Note: The link and pdf DID open up in Chrome correctly.
