Category - Membership Management

Background -

We have maintained a GUESTS list on our club's [myclubname.toastmastersclubs.org] website.

I intend to segregate the guest lists in to 2 lists. One for those guests who are our prospects (i can move them to prospects list) and the other for those guests who are visiting TMs from other clubs. By doing this we will be able to effectively communicate with our target audience.

Query -

Is there a way to find out if anyone from our GUESTS list are already registered with TI as Toastmasters in any club (anywhere) based on the email id with which we have enrolled them as a guest on our website. Their email id requires to be checked in the database to find a match and if yes, there could be some indicator given in the front end.

If yes, I shall move them to a separate GUESTS_TM list so that I can manage them differently from PROSPECTS.

Any solutions - direct or indirect are appreciated. Alternatively if you require any further information / clarification, please drop me a line.

Thanks, in advance !

FTH is not Toastmasters International, we have no access to any information on the toastmasters.org site. We have no way of knowing who is or is not an active member of Toastmasters International.

If I may offer a suggestion, since many clubs are contacted via their Contact Us form, you could make a custom greeting for the Contact Us form where you request that people who are already in TM mention that in their message to the club contacts. That way you get the information from the get-go. If you also set the Contact Us form submissions to auto-populate contacts in Prospects or Guests, but with a custom group, e.g. contactform, then you easily identify those people that originated from the Contact Us form. (BTW, cannot use contactusform for the group, it is reserved by the system)

Lastly, technically, the code could determine who is in another club if that club also uses FreeToastHost. However, we will never divulge that information for the same reason it is not available via TM HQ's website: privacy. There are just some boundaries we will never cross even if we technically can.
