Dear Support,

I created an agenda template with repeated roles (Toastmaster and General Evaluator), and added an asterisk before and after the role name in the "Role / Agenda Item Title" field, as shown in the example in the "Repeated and Group Roles" section of this documentation: support.toastmastersclubs.org/component/...em/editing-an-agenda

Both roles are appearing with a Sign-Up button next to them both times they appear on the agenda.

Could you please take a look and let me know what I have done incorrectly? fallriver.toastmastersclubs.org/agenda-00553390.html

Thank you.

Click on the pencil to edit the agenda.

When you find the 2nd, 3rd, etc occurrence of a role, click the pencil on that role, then uncheck the box for This is a role for which members can sign up. Save after each change.

Thank you, Roger-- that's exactly what I needed. The solution you shared does not seem to be explained on the documentation page below (or perhaps I'm just still not seeing it?). If it's not there, perhaps adding it would be helpful to other users.

Thanks for pointing that out.

I've edited the text, but it will take longer for me to bring the screenshots up to date.

Thanks Jane.

I guess I took it for granted that we had that as well.

Actually, Roger, it's a detail I wasn't aware of. For some reason, I thought that all instances needed to be marked "sign up".

It's even possible that it was the case at the time I wrote the doc, and it's been changed since then by one of Steve's tweaks.

It does still work with all instances marked as sign up. I wonder if the problem arises when the first instance is not assigned, and a later one is. Perhaps the system doesn't automatically assign to prior occurrences?

I've edited the doc. I've mentioned that it still works with all occurrences marked as signup but might be confusing.

Please take a look. You'll probably need to clear the cache/refresh the page in order to load the new versions of the images from the server.

No, it is the way it has always worked. I checked.
