I am currently VPE at First Hanseatics (Club 561, hamburg.toastmastersclubs.org), and noticed that the "Date" column is incorrect when I am looking at role reports. The date always appears as one day earlier than the actual Agenda date, throughout the report.

I'm not sure if this is a timezone issue, or if I have some setting incorrect.

Of course now that I know about it, I can mentally correct it, but at first it confused me quite a bit.

Steps to reproduce:
  1. Go to the current Agenda.
  2. Click on "Download Role Report" button at the top, which opens a dialogue
  3. Select "Member Role Report (html)", either for single member or all
  4. Select start date, click "Run/Download", which opens a new window (and starts a print dialogue, which I always cancel)

Expected outcome: listing of members and the dates that they filled a role according to the agenda.
Actual outcome: each date is "one day before" the actual agenda date. For example, our last meeting on 4th of August is displayed as "08/03/2015".

Thanks!

Hello there!

You need to probably go into the admin section and set up your time zone.

Hi Linda, thanks for the suggestion. I have just checked, and the time zone is correctly set to "Europe/Berlin". Is there some other setting?

Hi Linda, I have read that now, thanks for the info :-)
It's not a problem on the agenda itself, but rather on the role report.
Also, I've just discovered that this problem is also present on the "Member Speech Report (html)" when downloading reports.

Would it be helpful if I included more screenshots that showed the exact problem as I've described?

Hi Linda, thanks again for your help. Here are the screenshots of the website and I'll write some notes to explain it.

- Start off by opening an agenda. Here, I've selected our agenda from two days ago (August 4th) so that it will show up in the Member Role Report. I've highlighted the date and where I click, "Download Role Report".

- This is the dialogue that comes up. I've now made some selections (downloading only my roles in this case). I've highlighted the two selections, "Member Speech Report" and "Member Role Report", which are problematic.

- And then in a new window comes the report. I've highlighted my last role. According to this report, that was the role I had on August 3rd, but it should be August 4th. In fact, all dates are shifted by one day into the past.

- Here is the result if I select "Member Speech Report" for the same selections (only my roles, same date). All of the highlighted dates should be listed as one day further into the future than is shown on the report.

As I mentioned previously, the time zone is correctly set to "Europe/Berlin" for our club. I'm not sure what else I can do.

Thanks,
Ruquay

I am going to let one of the developers here help you, because I do not know what the problem could be, if it is not your time zone...

Sorry, but I did try...

I'm definitely NOT a developer and the details are a bit fuzzy, but I understand that the issue is to do with the way that the FTH server software handles timezones.

For what it's worth, I have the same issue with my own sites. It's not something that you've done wrong at your end.

Thanks to you both for your help & attention. I do work as a developer and immediately suspected a time zone issue :-)
