Hi,

The VPE in our club is attempting to create meeting agendas, but is unable to because the 'plus' sign icon for creating one is not showing on his system. The cookie setting for him is at "Allow from websites I visit" in his browser. He is on Safari 8.0.8 (10600.8.9). He does not see the 'Create' icon whether he is logged on in his account or as Administrator.

Thanks for any help you can provide,

I can see the plus sign on my iPad / Safari, so I don't think it is a Safari issue.

Please ask your VPE to click on the "reload website from server link" at the bottom of the page an try again.

Has he ever been able to create agendas?

What is your VPE first name?

I logged in as Jim the listed VPE and can see the + sign on the agenda page using Safari on MAC

Yes, his name is Jim.

Most times he has logged on as Administrator, but still does not have the ability to create agendas.

Main reason for mentioning Safari was to know what/and what to do for a setting in that browser. He does not have another browser (Opera?) on his system, so don't know if it's related to that.

----
Pam, I let him know about the "Reload from server"

Thanks for response.

Jim (the VPE) has never been able to create agendas on his system.

He did just try the "Reload from server" link and there is still no create agendas icon.

Thanks,

Kevin

I recall someone having a similar problem with social media icons which was caused by an ad blocker. Can your VPE see your social link icons? Does he have any popup blockers or ad blockers active? If so he might need to whitelist toastmastersclubs.org

Jim, did confirm that he can see all the social media icons.

I'll check with him about popup blockers or ad blockers. By 'whitelist' do you mean that it then accepts all popups from toastmastersclubs.org? Was wondering if this is a setting in Safari about a popup blocker?

Thanks,
Kevin

Please have this person provide a screen capture so that we can see exactly what he is seeing--otherwise, we are just guessing. That will help expedite our understanding so that we can suggest most likely solutions. Please see support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/h...ake-a-screen-capture

Also, please have him verify that he is using the latest version of Safari.

Lastly, please have him make sure that his browser is not blocking web fonts.
(The icons are web fonts that are downloaded to the browser.)

Safari seems to default to having it's popup blocker on (I see my iPad setting is on, but I can see the agenda edit icon and use it).

Jim might have an ad blocker installed. Ad-blockers would typically let you adjust the settings to allow specific sites access by "whitelisting" them. An ad-blocker might assume the popup screen for editing the agenda is an ad, and thus block it.

Hi,

All apologies. Only last night we did finally figure out the issue. Thanks Steve for the 'screen capture' suggestion.

Jim brought a print out of his screen and I quickly saw the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the screen. He confirmed today that he now sees the plus sign when scrolling farther to the right.

Sorry for the frustration of not having the screen before.

Thanks for all the input,
Kevin
