We have had a security breach or a virus attack. Very inappropriate emails were sent from the address of a current member who DID NOT send the emails to some club officer email addresses. Can you help identify the culprit or advise on how to fix the issue? I suggested he change his passwords.

Someone gained unauthorised access to the member's account. That can happen through guessing the password, or through the owner of the account receiving an email with a questionable link in it and clicking on it.

Changing the password is an excellent idea. But also check the "reset password" email link in case that's been changed, and if it has, change it back.

Beyond that, it could be a good idea to check out the PC and make sure that nothing else has been affected.
