Hi all, my club is looking for a way to make the font on our ToastHost agendas just a little smaller. I would like it to happen automatically, without our members having to change their print settings. Since we have a bunch of new members coming in, we want to keep all the little transitions of who's got the podium in the agenda.

I'm familiar with HTML and CSS -- is there a way to use CSS to change the font size just for the printed agendas? I can see they're already using a different output, and probably a different stylesheet.

What I've already tried:
- Looking through the settings
- Designing a new header and template that removed most of a page of cruft

Thanks, Wyn

Did you try doing the print setting to fit on one page and let the software reduce everything?

Brian, thanks for the quick response!

I just did two test prints -- one with shrink on, one off. In my case, it made very little difference. Standard spills over by 3 lines, shrunken by 2 lines. I guess the shrink setting won't solve this for our club. :(

Last time I forgot to mention that I have also already optimized our text to be only 1 line long for everything in our test case.

Perhaps printed agenda font size control should become a feature request?

Hi Steve! Me again :) I found this thread looking for how to make the agenda font smaller, so it can be printed on one page straight out of the web browser. I have about 3 items that are on the 2nd page. Any suggestions would be appreciated :)

Use your browser print controls to adjust margin and scale the page to adjust font size.

It is easy in IE and Edge, not as easy in Chrome... not sure about FF.

Firefox uses print preview to allow you to adjust scaling and some other things. I've not made much use of it, but it looks fairly straightforward.

Steve and Jane, Thanks for the feedback. While some members of our club know how to adjust scaling and margins, I would like to make the font of the agenda items smaller, so others that are not as tech-savvy can easily print the agenda without having to make any adjustments. I've made the text in the meeting description as small as I possibly can with it still being legible and it barely squeezes on one page. I've also tried to make the description text in each role as short as possible. Is there any way to make the font text smaller for agenda items or the spacing between the speech manual and title smaller?

The font size is fixed in the page.... you will need to use your browser scaling or use less text.

Is there any way to reduce the spacing in the speech section? Again, I want to stress that a lot of my members will have difficulty with that.

It is what it is now. If you would like to suggest improvements, you are welcome to post improvement suggestions in that forum section (I do look at those), and if I feel it has merit I will work on it when I get the available spare time.

"it has merit" means that you convince me it would be useful to other clubs also.
