Hi,

We are curious if we can add a module to our site for a club blog? Can you send me in the right direction if this is possible? Thanks!

While we do not provide functionality for that as part of the system, the system is flexible enough to enable you to integrate blogs from any of the available web-based blog systems (e.g., Blogger)

Our intent is not to make FreeToastHost be all things to all clubs. Especially since there is a lot of great functionality already available on the internet. We just strive to enable you to integrate those other systems into your website via custom links and/or embedding content in web pages.

There's a site called WoodPress for Toastmasters . I'm looking into posting blog updates from this site, but what's the best way to add them to my T2H website so visitors can see the most recent blog posts?

Ideally, I would love to have the five most recent posts summarized on our front page. At the bottom of each summary, a link to the full blog should be available.

I'm sure that I could accomplish this by manually updating the website every time I publish a new piece, but I'd love to automate as much of this process as much as possible.

Has anyone done something like this?

You can have a link going to the blob page, but you can't have a blog on FTH

Created a separate page which links to your blog page...

I have found a way to integrate the feed from a blog onto my FTH web site. I used a tool called FeedWind at feed.mikle.com/ to show my WordPress blog on the front page of my FTH site. Check out my club site at excelloratorstm.org for illustration.

It would be nice if FTH had the feature built in to show articles from an RSS feed. I understand the wish not to be all things, but helping to integrate with the other things would be a nice value add.

See feed.mikle.com/ and embed the feed into a page on FTH.

1) FTH does not support any Java scripts placed on pages, if they cause issues we will just remove the entire page.

2) You do not have access to the html head to place any javascripts.

3) the entire script / widget can be placed on a page using the source button of the editor.
