Hello All,

Club 4260 here. I tried to create a custom webpage which has gone horribly wrong  I have successfully created one before, however this time I was just linking to a new website and providing officer only access.

I made the mistake of filling in all the fields and now the custom web page shows up in Members Only Area as: "Custom Web Pages / Links"
When I click on it, it takes me to the "create new page screen with no info"
Now, I can not delete this page as it does not show in drop down, nor can I create new custom pages.

I've attached a doc with screen shots. Please Help!

Thank You! :)

Ok, you are missing what is going on there. That link is put there by the system because you as VPPR have been set to have access to Custom Web Pages / Links when you log in as a member. It is not a web page that you created, it is a link that you enabled as the admin on the Access Setting Page. You just happen to be both the admin and the VPPR, so you see the extra link when you are logged in as a member.

>>>My recommendation is that you color those links differently in the menu so you do not get confused in the future. Use the color picker on the Appearance page that is labeled "Delegated Access Menu Links". (Yeah, I know it is a mouthful. )

The whole point of the Access Settings is to put those direct links there on the menu for the specified officers so that they can get direct access to specific parts of the admin console without having to log in as an admin. However, if the intended officers do not recognize those links for what they are, then it is kind of a moot point to enable them.

This is a good example of why put the ability to color those differently in the system in the first place.

Thanks for the super quick reply!

I sort of gathered that was what was happening (Even though it's not official till July 1st, I just added myself as VPPR today so I could log in as an officer to view what I can access). I will go back and review based on your reply, but I still don't understand what happened to the custom page I created. I will try another test page...please stand by for more questions ;-)

UPDATE: So I went back and tried to create a new custom page and no luck. When I hit save, it takes me to the only custom page I created a few months ago called "Meeting Guidelines". It keeps looping back to this and the pull down menu does not show any other custom pages.

Any chance you could re-set the custom page panel and/or the members only links?

Thank you 'Steve the Techie'. I don't know how I fell into the admin role as I'm the farthest thing from a techie, but I'm learning...the hard way :-)
