One Question: How can the Meeting Notes Field be cleared (in total) or updated (to remove text) or add text? How can I clear the field?
For example, previously in an Agenda (used as a sign-up form), I had entered text in the Meeting Notes field (the date of the upcoming Area Contest. Now while logged in as Administrator (and not as VPE), I tried to manually insert by pasting additional text (copied from another agenda).

While trying to paste the additional text into a Meeting Notes Field, and then when Saving what I edited, the TI logo popped up along with the following message: " You are no longer logged in. Please log in again. " But I was still logged in could modify other fields in the same agenda as well as modify any other agenda. Then I created a new agenda entry (using the description field to insert the long text strings).

So what caused the " You are no longer logged in. Please log in again. " message? (After saving the agenda and trying it again with the me result, I then tried to remove the content of the field - and could not figure out how to do it.)

The "You are no longer logged in message" shows when you are logged in as the admin and try to add a Meeting Note. Meeting Notes are restricted to members - the admin needn't be a member.

Only the member who added the note can remove or change it.

There is a way for an admin to clear a member's notes, but the method is "deprecated", and I will be ditching it as soon as I implement the updated approach ... there will be a member name drop down near the notes field in the future to allow the admin to edit the notes for specific members. However, there is some work involved to get to that point.

Thank you PAM. Makes sense that an administrator can't change meeting notes (or delete them) once you explained it that way. (Duh .... since I was the Administrator as well as a member (and originated the Notes originally), I assumed I could change my own.) Of course, a better;different message like 'Administrator can't change/delete Meeting Notes; log in as yourself to do it' would have been more understandable in hindsight.

Which now leads me to ask: if multiple people had added to the Meeting Note field (only one being 'Ralph will be absent', can any of the other members delete it entirely, or does the text they added? (If I think about that tomorrow, I may experiment as time allows.) I have since logged in as a member and deleted the field (since I entered all the text).

I'm sure this has been asked before  ...but is there a way to have the meeting notes print on the sign up sheet?

Not at this time... There really is not space for them. Where would you put them? If you have notes for each of the 5 meetings, I do not see how that could work from a space and layout perspective. Also, keeping it straight which notes go for which meeting would be a practical challenge.

Not really the detailed notes - more about listing people who are going to be absent.
That is the biggest use for our notes field at this time.
Any ideas? Should we add an agenda item to list people who will be out?

Please hold this thought a bit, as I am in the process of implementing attendance tracking. Let's revisit this after I have that implemented and people are using it. (i think doing something related on the sign-up sheet could be a good idea.)
