In Find a Club, if you click on View Website it searches for 2376.toastmastersclub and the search does not show Spartan Speakers.

When I type in 2376.toastmastersclub in a new tab I do see Spartan's website:
www.toastmasters.org/Find-a-Club/00002376-00002376

However, clicking on that only brings it back to the Find a Club info page where I started.

I am guessing that the domain site is not correct.

In our FreeToast website it reads 2376spartanspeakers NOT just the club number

Shouldn't it read 2376spartanspeakers.toastmastersclubs.org ?

How do I get it to work correctly?

Thanks for your help

In the admin site of your website, you can make it so the website loads just when you type in Sparksspeakers without the club number... That will work also and then when you want to find the website, you can search for it either by that name or with the club number in front.

The URL entered in Club Central must be valid (2376.toastmastersclub is not a URL)

You have two options for your Club Central entry - either of them will work
2376.toastmastersclubs.org 2376.toastmastersclubs.org or
2376spartanspeakers.toastmastersclubs.org 2376spartanspeakers.toastmastersclubs.org

I suggest that you use the first - that will always work, even if you change your alias or get a custom domain in the future.
The second uses your chosen FreeToastHost alias, which you might want to simplify to spartanspeakers, as Linda has suggested

Thanks for your reply. It is not the email address or anything with the info on the club itself that is the problem, however.

I need help with the URL search

Thank you LindaMann, however, I tried to drop the number and lost the URL connection altogether. It seemed to make sense but did not work.

I think I understand what you wrote. Where in the website as Administrator do I change the 2376.toastmastersclub URL?

Right now, to reiterate, if I type the 2nd choice 2376spartanspeakers.toastmastersclubs.org as a URL it is the ONLY way it comes to the website page. The TM Int'l Find the Club does not work, as you know.

I'm afraid I see what you wrote but there are already 2 things at work and I want to get rid of the 2376.toastmastersclub which definitely does not work.

In the admin section of your freetoasthost website, go to: Basic and scroll down until you see: Website Alias and input the name of your club you want in there. Leave the box that reads: Custom Domain empty unless you have paid for a domain, then put that there.

I hope all of this makes sense...

Where in the website as Administrator do I change the 2376.toastmastersclub URL?

That error isn't on your FreeToastHost website - it is an incorrect entry in Club Central on the TI Website. To change that refer to the document Brian provided and change the website address to: 2376.toastmastersclubs.org

In my directions, they were only to change the name on the Freetoasthost. Yes, you do still need to fix it on the Toastmasters International website. Only a club officer can fix that. We are not responsible for what shows there.
