I love the concept of the response links for the agendas. Our toastmaster probably sends 20 emails for each meeting to confirm roles and fill roles, so I think this will be a great time saver.

My question is: How do I get the "Confirm" button to show on the emailed agenda? I signed up for a role and I only see the "Drop" button.(attached screenshot) On the "Responding to emailed agendas" , I see that there is a confirm option, but I am lost on how to get that. It would be great to have members confirm roles, then the toastmaster can see who has confirmed.

If anyone has any ideas, I would greatly appreciate it!

I read through the "Responding to emailed agendas" again and realized that it said confirming or dropping for "pre-assigned" roles. I'm assuming that if I go to the website and sign myself up for a role, then the website considers that I have "confirmed" it. On the other hand, if I signed somebody else for a role, and the email with response links is sent, then it would show "confirm" or "drop".

Hope I'm not the only one that thinks of the answer to their own question right after they submit the question to the forum.

Please confirm.

Originally, it was set up to auto-confirm someone who signed themselves up, with the presumption that if a club was using the expirations of confirmations (a mouthful I know lol) the person would probably need to confirm again once the clock ran out on the expiration period for the confirmation. This would make it harder for someone to forget they signed up for a role. However, users did not like the auto-confirm, so I ditched it.

You need to enable confirmations in the agenda settings and sort out if you are going to expire them... this is better for clubs that meet infrequently or let people sign up way in the future.

Then just let people sign-up for roles. The system will keep track of who has signed up and whether they are due to confirm their role. When you email the agenda out, confirm links will show for any roles that they are due to confirm.

This is possible because the response link functionality essentially tailors the agenda email for each recipient. You only get the links that are relevant for you.

Thanks Steve. I went to the global settings and enabled confirmations and now it is doing exactly as I wanted. I can't wait to role this out at my club!
