Hello,

I am in Club #5676, and our club website is the following: 5676.toastmastersclubs.org/. I'm sorry if this topic is posted twice, but I wasn't convinced the first one actually made it all the way through.

On Friday, one of our club members received the following unsolicited email; I've omitted the member's name and email address, but please let me know if you need it:

Subject: Member Authentication E-mail For [Member Name]

If you wish to access from another computer or device, just reauthenticate, or set a custom password by clicking the link below.

Although I am the website administrator for our club, I did not generate the email, nor was I even in our club's website. Around the same time, I received the following email regarding the same member, about this member attempting to reset his password. However, the member denies attempting to do so:

"Hello Anthony Austin:

This email is for your information only. You are registered as the website administrator for the website: 5676.toastmastersclubs.org

[Member] has requested a password reset for this website. This confirms that another email containing the password reset link has also been sent to them.

You are receiving this notification email so that you can follow-up with this person to verify that they were able to reset their password and access the website. If you do not wish to receive these notifications in the future, they can be disabled in the Admin Console of your website: Basic Settings / Administrator Information tab.

(NOTE: Any replies to this notification email will be sent to the above member for easy follow-up.)

I am inquiring about whether these emails and activities are legitimate, and if not, what, if anything, we need to do further to resolve this.

If "someone" tries to login, selects a name but does not put in a password, that triggers the auto password reset request and send email to the member and the admin. If the member did not request they can ignore.
