On July 29, 2017, I was notified by the Club President that the agenda for the upcoming meeting was missing one agenda item: "Speech Objectives - Evaluator 3". When I checked, I found that it was missing in all the new agendas another executive member had just added as well. To my surprise, it was also missing in the agenda template. Since November 2013, we've been using the same agenda template, and it had always had that particular agenda item. So, it was very odd that the agenda item mysteriously disappeared. I had to go into each new agenda and added it back manually. Would you please take a look to see why this happened, and see if you could fix the issue so it won't happen again? Thank you very much for your help.

Does anyone else have access to the agenda settings? Or does anyone else have the admin login details?

No, nobody else has access to the agenda settings or administrator login details.

Someone must have accidentally removed the item from the template instead of a dated agenda sometime between creating the last set of agendas and the current set. All of the dated agendas would be the same as the template used to create them.

Only I have access to the agenda template and I didn't remove the item.

Ok, I will weigh in here...

1. Check w/ people who are Agenda Creators: Your President, VPE, and Treasurer, per your Access Settings.
(Not sure why your Treasurer needs to create agendas. )

2. What was the first date that the item was missing? I see three roles that can edit the agenda. Who had those roles?

3. Anyone that can edit an agenda can remove a role. (See #2 above)

What is likely is that your club was using a prior dated agenda as a template for the next agenda. (many clubs do that) At some point somebody decide to save the agenda as a template.

If there was a problem with the agenda system, then we would likely have many of the 7000+ clubs that use the agenda system posting about it here in very strong terms. You are the first poster about this. There *could* be a problem with they system, but based on past experience and probability, my instincts are telling me "user error" on this.

The other three officers that can create/ edit new agenda have no access to Agenda Settings and Templates. I checked with the Treasurer, who added a bunch of new agendas at the end of July, and he said he didn't delete the item. Even if he did by mistake, it would not explain why the item was missing from the agenda template, to which he has no access.

I was first notified by the President that the item was missing on July 29.

This is incorrect, since anyone that can edit an agenda can save it as a template. Thus, any template can be overwritten by someone saving a dated agenda as a template. See below... anyone who can edit an agenda has access to the following:

Ok - thanks. However, the Treasurer said he didn't replace the agenda template. Nor did he remove the agenda item. Grateful if you could investigate. I believe this is a system problem.

When the President reported that the item was missing, I logged onto the website to investigate. I created two new agenda to see what would happen. The first one had the agenda item, and the second didn't. During the testing process, I decided to delete those two new agenda, and created them again. This time around, the agenda item was missing from both agenda. Then I went to look at the agenda template and saw that the item was missing from the template. I proceeded to add back the item, and now things are functioning well. I just thought you might want to know that the system was acting in a rather bizarre fashion. We've had a couple other glitches lately, which I have reported on this forum as support requests.
