Club#2040

Problem: I am the President of Club #2040, I am trying to login to our club website, but Member Login and Admin login buttons are grayed out, so I when I click on them nothing happens.

We also started noticing cookies popup message last week, it is irritating and appears anytime someone visits our club's website. I cleared my browser's history and tried logging into to our website several times but no success.

I need to update our website and upload last meeting's pictures. Please advice.

Thanks.

All website will soon have the cookie popup so you will just have to adapt.

1) Go to the bottom of you site click the reload link
2) click the (Display the cookie consent form.) link
3) accept the cookies and privacy and you can log in and the cookie popup will not show anymore until you clear your cookies.

Thanks for your help and your quick reply. I was able to login after accepting the cookie consent form.

Why this change? Why we need cookies consent every time we login? We are already having hard time having people signup for
meeting roles, now this will be an excuse not to login and signup for a meeting role.

This is not a good idea !

It is the new Privacy regulations being forced on everyone by the European Union. Please have your members read the new laws on privacy, it affects everyone who uses the internet. www.eugdpr.org/

No if you read what I said above once you click Agreed you will not see the popup again, unless you clear your cookies.

Thanks for clarification. I will send out an email to all of our club members. By the way, I clear my cookies every day, so I can handle the new change; but I am concerned about others.

Thanks for answering my questions. This issue is resolved.

Brian / seeker:

The cookie pop-up should not be impacted by whether you have cleared your cookies. Whether or not you have viewed the pop-up is saved in a table on the server, in addition to a cookie. That is why you see the spinner when you click a button on the cookie pop-up... it is communicating which button you clicked to the server to be saved in a database table.

Once you have responded, you should not see the cookie popup again for another year (cleared annually) or if we updated the policy significantly and need to clear out the table so that people need to respond again.

The only impact that clearing cookies would have is for corporate clubs that share an IP address. That could impact their ability to log in, not the visibility of the cookie pop-up.
