4172

Hello,

I'm president and site admin of 4172, and we have a new member who can't login.
Verified she is in the members group. (Kristi King). Using incognito mode to avoid cookies issues. Latest Chrome, latest MacOS.

Steps to recreate:

click [login as member]
start to type name, it appears, click it.
click [authenticate] button, to be able to set up a new password.
receive the link to set up a new password.
try to set up new password, using only the special chars, 8 characters, a capital letter, a number

'incorrect password, here are the instructions to reset your password.'

in the attached screenshot, you can see she's logged in. I thought "Success! but verify"
Upon logging out and trying to log back in, reproducible with those steps.
Tried resetting password multiple times, cannot get in again.

Please help.

Thanks a lot!

FTH requires cookies to function.
I use chrome on a MAC and have no issues.

click the reload link at the bottom of the page and try again with cookies enabled

I figured out what the issue was: in the PW, we were using the illegal char of "*". I tried a new PW without that, and it worked fine! (Tried in the non-incognito browser).

Thanks a lot for your help!

I am going to put in a feature request to include guidance on what characters are allowed to be in the password on the password setup area. It was not easy to find that in the readme for some reason.
