Please enter it in the Basic Settings area of the admin console. Give it a few minutes... the server probably has to recreate the https cert (takes a few minutes).

If the domain was in the admin console before, the code probably removed it. I am not going to just keep around a lot of expired domains in the database... they slow down the server. (e.g. for https cert renewals) If the code detects a domain is expired, it will be removed from the database.

Your domain does not point to the FTH server.

You need to you to your registrar and update the DNS zone records as per the documentation
support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/dns-settings-overview

look at section 1.2 for the ip addresses and records.

50.63.202.56 is the WRONG IP and is being broadcast by your domain now

50.19.253.65 is the correct IP

I need the admin to check if domain is set in settings. It was a month ago and everything was working fine. Then the domain expired (watersedgetoastmasters.ca) and a couple weeks later we renewed it but for some reason it will not connect to FTH. I have attached the settings for his domain in a screen shot at Godaddy. If there is a setting that needs to be changed please let me know what it is. The only thing I cannot confirm myself is the settings for the site 1592774.toastmastersclubs.org/ to add this domain. It was OK before the domain expired so I don't think it would have been deleted.

All that your settings prove is that you entered some DNS information somewhere, not that they are being properly propagated thoughout the web. We use Dig, since it tells us what is being propagated. Dig shows that your DNS is not per our instructions.

You need to PHONE your registrar, this morning your domain is not broadcasting at all.

remove the uneeded CNAME for www, a, e, email, ftp, imap, pda, mobilemail, webmail.
Having both CNAME and A record will cause errors.

we only require these 4 records

watersedgetoastmasters.ca. 1799 IN A 50.19.253.65
www.watersedgetoastmasters.ca. 1799 IN A 50.19.253.65
mail.watersedgetoastmasters.ca. 1799 IN A 50.19.253.65
watersedgetoastmasters.ca. 3599 IN MX 10 mail.watersedgetoastmasters.ca

Your registrar may require NS, SOA, and others.

(Reopened thread at user's request... the following per PM by user ChrisPetitclerc)

Is there a reason the topic was locked? This is not resolved. You stated that the domain is not broadcasting and then locked me out.
The domain was working fine before. Weird that I now have to change all this with the registrar and its still an issue. Godaddy is a big company. Do you not have a SOP for Godaddy domains to link up with FTH? .

Here are the DNS settings at Godaddy.

ChrisPetitclerc:

The forum software will automatically lock a topic after two weeks of inactivity. I posted a message in this thread (and unlocked it) to keep it open for another 2 weeks.

We have told you what to do. My club has a GoDaddy domain, so this is not something foreign to me.

We have the basic directions documented for custom domains. We clearly state that setting up custom domains is an advanced feature.

If you are incapable or unwilling to work with us to resolve your issue or you registrar, then I don't know... maybe you should not have a custom domain??? :pinch:

Your domain is not broadcasting any A zone records you need to contact your registrar support.

the mx record is the only record broadcasting.

watersedgetoastmasters.ca. 3600 IN MX 10 mail.watersedgetoastmasters.ca.
watersedgetoastmasters.ca. 3600 IN NS ns35.domaincontrol.com.
watersedgetoastmasters.ca. 3600 IN NS ns36.domaincontrol.com.

The domain was working fine. Then when we renewed it at Godaddy it stopped working.

A simple video showing users what to do is all you need. You seem to want to make things as confusing as possible for everyone.

Chris, we're all volunteers trying to help each other. There are many registrars and we have found that they occasionally change their user interfaces. We don't expect them to notify us of this. We don't have the resources to create videos for each of them, or favour any one of them, and even if we could they would be out of date as the interfaces change.

I looked at your site and I see you don't have your custom website domain recorded in the basic settings tab of the admin console. That was probably cleared when your domain name expired. Put that in, then if all of your registrar settings are as per our guidelines, your site should work correctly.
