I'm trying to move 4508355.toastmastersclubs.org to www.eccentricelocutiontm.com. I purchased the domain through Dreamhost, who I've used in the past for both domain and hosting, and I set the 3 A records to 50.19.253.65. I also set the MX record to mail.eccentricelocutiontm.com. I did this a week ago.

I tried to save eccentricelocutiontm.com as the website on the Basic Settings in the site admin panel and I'm still getting the message "This domain is not yet pointing to the IP address 50.19.253.65. In your domain registrar's DNS area, modify the existing "A" and "MX" records for this domain, to point to 50.19.253.65, wait the amount of time as specified by your domain host, then try again." I tried ten minutes after changing the record (in my experience with DNS changes they generally propagate faster than 24 hours) then again 24 hours later, and then again just now. I get that error message every time.

4508355.toastmastersclubs.org is still pointing to the site, so we're not in trouble from that standpoint, but going to eccentricelocutiontm.com gives me the message that the site could not be reached. Nothing looks wrong in what I've done, but clearly there's an error somewhere. Any thoughts?

(Also, I tried to set a signature with my club info, but I get a 500 Fatal Error when I try to edit that.)

You need to put your custom domain name in the custom domain box (bottom right in basic settings page of admin console)

eccentricelocutiontm.com fails via WHOIS... perhaps you misspelled the domain name either here or when you registered it?

www.whois.com/whois/eccentricelocutiontm.com

Also no DNS records for eccentricelocutiontm.com via Dig

www.digwebinterface.com/?hostnames=eccen...8.8.4.4&nameservers=

Check your spelling and that everything is ok w/ your registrar.
