We have set up our new domain name TULSA TALKERS.ORG properly at Network Solutions, and deleted our old one (GILCREASETOASTMASTERS.ORG) for Club 1384 in Basic Settings under Administrator login for FTH for Club 1384. Still, NEITHER one pings. And neither can be accessed by URL. We really need someone to help with this. Peggi Ridgway, Club Secretary and Web Administrator, Club 1384.

www.tulsatalkers.org opens fine. Note that there is no space between Tulsa and talkers.

Thank You, Roger, for your prompt reply. Why is "www" required in the URL? www.tulsatalkers.org If I type in just Tulsatalkers.org, I get the FTH Support page.

tulsatalkers.org works for me - try closing your browser down and then open it and try again
Otherwise try clearing your cache

I'm so sorry to keep bringing this up.... Club 1384, TulsaTalkers.org -- I have cleared cache, shut down browser and reopened. Yet when I type in Tulsatalkers.org, I come to: www.toastmastersclubs.org/welcome/?Ctoj . What is the correct IP address that it should point to? Peggi Ridgway, Tulsa Talkers Club 1384

You have a local PC issue caching incorrect routing.
tulsatalkers.org/ is working correctly
www.tulsatalkers.org/ is working correctly

Power off your PC and internet modem. wait 10 minutes and power on again.

Generally, in most cases www is not needed to be used for custom domains, but it may be supported depending on how you have your custom domain name set up. For best results, I generally recommend setting up the DNS settings so that the domain name gets routed to the FTH server regardless of whether a user has used www. Traditionally, people have expected to use www, so it is good to include support for it.

If you are having issues with redirect caching, in most cases you can usually just put ? and some random number (e.g., ?23) directly after the domain name to force the domain name to work correctly. You can also just clear your browser cache, but you may not want to have to deal with that.
