Hello, I am trying to mark someone as not attending a meeting, but when I hit save, it keeps reverting back to Yes - attending. The instructions say that if the attendance is changed to No, they will be dropped from the agenda as well. Do I need to drop them from the agenda and then update their attendance or is there just something wrong with the system?

Need more specifics... club number, meeting date, member's (first) name, etc.

Club number 3063853, meeting date 8 July, happened with 2 members. They haven't updated their own attendance, they sent us an email. Other members haven't replied and can't mark them as unsure without first removing them from the agenda.

Ok, I can see your agenda. I need to know what specific steps you are following when you see the problem...

I log in as myself, go to meeting agendas > edit agenda > meeting attendance > select member(s) as not attending > hit save. Save results in member returning to yes status. I then have to remove the member(s) from the agenda the do the above steps for the status to save correctly.

I am not seeing an issue when I log in as you and try to change attendance in the agenda editor tab. What browser are you using? When you do this, are you changing the attendance for a member that has a role? (it should not matter, but I need to be able to reproduce the issue you are seeing exactly as you are seeing it)

When I follow the same steps in Google Chrome, I do not see an issue.

So I will ask you again since you did not answer my question, what browser and version number are you using?
This could be a browser related issue.

I have now successfully reproduced this issue. It will get resolved... give me a bit; the logic is very complex.

The issue occurs when you attempt to set attendance to "no" in the master attendance log for a member that has already signed up for a role.

Ok, I think this is resolved now. Thank you for your persistence and patience. :cheer: B) :)

  • The server does not know what order things were changed when you send information from a large complex dialog such as the agenda editor. Complicating this is the fact that taking roles and setting attendance are linked activities. If the server sees a role set and the attendance changed, it does not know which happened last, and the order matters. However, if the *active tab* (e.g. "tab-attendance") is communicated to the server, it can infer which change happened last from this context. Previously, the active tab was not communicated to the server for context... now it is.
Thanks for sticking with us on this... all the videos and everything else you did to help us sort this out.
