Hey there! I created an email via the system to send to my club (:members-club#@toastmastersclubs.org)

I included the "smile" emoji in my email but when it arrived in my inbox it rendered as a blue question mark, i.e. no emoji to be found. It looked fine in the composer when drafting the message.

Thanks for the report.

Can you please do me a favor and get the image location for that emoji image? It is just a system provided image... just right click on the question mark and open the image information. (Or find it via View Source.) There have been times in the past where the location on the server was not correctly included...

Ha! Not only was the location on the server not included, the SERVER was not included :-)

This was the source of the paragraph that was to end in a smily.
<p>I wanted to encourage (challenge!) the team to fill up and set fire to our schedule with two more great speakers and evaluators... I signed up as Wilfred&#39;s evaluator, which is kinda funny, where two long-absent Toastmasters are on the schedule as the first speaker and evaluator pair&nbsp;<img alt="laugh" height="23" src="/js/ckeditor_smileys/teeth_smile.png?_=1566847398" title="laugh" width="23" /></p>

Well that would work if it was going to be web page content, but it will not work for an email.

Emails have to have fully qualified URLs for image sources, because typically you are accessing the image remotely via an email agent. The rich content editor always does "relative URLs" for images, so I have to do some extra server code to force them to be fully qualified for emails.

I am assuming that you created this email via "Send Basic Email"... correct?

I think this should work fine now. I changed the server code to also do the URL fixup for emojis in emails. Again, thanks for the report. :)
