I've recently secured Google's G-Suite for nonprofits as TM is. So now I have these email accounts like This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and so on as Gmail inboxes!

However, I also have email forwards from FTH! The email distribution lists that FTH provides is too invaluable to pass up. Is there a way to make the two co-exist where the FTH disables the forwarding and allows emailing to G-Sute's Gmail accounts?

You cannot have your cake and eat it too.

Pick one email service, remember even with your domain name the old email addresses still work.
This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., etc.

Just remember to document what you do as when you leave the club we won't support non standard setups.

@Brian

Thanks. Not the answer I was looking for.

I suppose I could create a new email forward on G-Suite where, for example, "This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it." goes to "This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it."... that could work. Perhaps?

Also.

Email forwarding of this nature is not guaranteed to work. We support forwarding from gmail, outlook/hotmail, and yahoo email, but anything beyond that is not guaranteed due to the limits of our ability to determine that the email was forwarded.

I see. Am I not forwarding from G-Suite to a specific inbox (toastmastersclubs.org) in a Gmail capacity?

If that is what you are doing, then that would work. I just did not make that connection. :)

So, I've removed the MX records off my DNS BUT I am still listing my site's domain as the URL.

However, when I send an email (for example) to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., and the VPPR is on the contact form, it is sending it the email to the forwarded account.

Why is it not sending it to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.? What is making it forward?

Where is the site member's area? At any rate, I looked at the private member directory and saw my name next to my gmail DESPITE having the my custom domain act as primary URL.

Are you saying that despite the URL, our emails gathered from the distribution list (myalias-vppr@, myalias-officers@,etc.) sent to the actual email listed on profile (usually gmail) because utimately it acts as a forward?

*All* FTH provided email addresses are ultimately forwarding email addresses. Thus, they are all tied to whatever is in member profiles/membership management. (member profiles/membership management are really just two different views of the same information)

OK, that's what I assumed. Thank you for all your help in this thread (you and Brian).

I finally got my FTH site where I want it to be in terms of mail/lists with a neat domain. Thank you!
