Hello,

This has been a long-standing issue, but I find the time now to address it.
We are a Club operating in French. For proper spelling, such a language includes the use of extended ASCII characters for accented characters and cedille. I am able to enter such characters in the Agenda items, but when I mail it, such characters do not appear at all.

Examples of those characters can be found in the agenda I composed today for February 6, in our website:
1322.toastmastersclubs.org/

Below I reproduce a few of the affected lines:

10:00AM
10:01AM Salutations du président du club

Role filled by Louise M. Blais CC ALB IP1

Louise M. Blais CC ALB IP1 Photo
10:01AM
10:02AM Présentation des invités

Role filled by Louise M. Blais CC ALB IP1

As you can see, accents are present in the above example.

However, when I mail it out, the accents disappear:

10:00AM
10:01AM Salutations du prsident du club Louise M. Blais CC ALB IP1
10:01AM
10:02AM Prsentation des invits

This happens in every instance where accents are necessary, even when writing people's names. One of our members has the surname "Léger", that, when transmitted in any way by your website, becomes "Lger".

When entering such characters, I use the code set for PCs, that is Alt+[appropriate 3 or 4 digit number].

I use Windows 7, on an ASUS laptop. All other users of the site in our club have the same issue, I do not know their OS.

Many thanks for addressing this issue or letting me know if there is any other way I and the other users should handle it.

Hi Cristina,

This issue has been reported several times by me and other people (see support.toastmastersclubs.org/...non-english-characters-omitted-in-emails )

The FTH system was handling accents properly until October 2019. The current issue has been ongoing since.
