I am an admin for club 817767 - Talking Gators Toastmasters.
About once a week, FTH acts as if I used the "Not a Member" email link and kicks me out of my club. See message below. I may be doing something wrong, but I am not even sure where that link is and am certainly not trying to click it.
Since I am an admin, I just go in and select me as a former member and move me to member. But it's a pain in the tuchus and I'd like to know if I can prevent it from happening again, please.

Regards,
Chuck Field, DTM

Chuck Field, DTM has indicated via a "Not a Member?" email link that they are no longer a member of club
817767 and has requested that the system move them to Former Member status.

This message is to notify you that the system has completed this request.

If you have any questions about this notice, please visit support.toastmastersclubs.org .

You can see this sort of thing if you forward emails that have "personalized links" in them, and a recipient of the forwarded email clicks the link. The link is static and will not change when it is in a forwarded email.

By "personalized", what I mean is that the email contains a link with reference to you specifically (e.g. usually a number that identifies you in the system). If you forward the email, the link does not change and still refers to you.

As we are doing more of these personalized links now (blame me for that), users will need to be more careful about what is forwarded and to whom. As an alternative, you can shut off these "Not a member?" links in the Email and Contact Forms module.
