Club 1142333 Westside Professionals

I was alerted by another member that she could not get to the club website. I tried, and I cannot get there either. I'm in two clubs and was able to open the website for the alternate club website. Did something happen to remove our site?

I tried with VPN on and off, tried using the club number instead of club name,

This response when using google search, bing search, startpage search, and the https:// was in the search name
Hmmm… can't reach this page
westsideprofessionals.org refused to connect.

This response when using the club number, using start page, google sends me to the TI Find a Club page
There are no results for 1142333.toastmastersclubs.org

1142333.toastmastersclubs.org/ works correctly

You club has let your custom domain westsideprofessionals.org expire. Your club has to contact the registrar where you bought the domain and pay the yearly fee.

The information is in your admin console.

Thanks, I suspected that but still couldn't get to the site using the club number which made me wonder. I did get to the domain provider and did not see an alert there, but will check with the person who takes care of this. He usually gets a notice and checks with the club before paying, and is very thorough about it.

Are you referring to the notes in the Admin Console. Of course, I couldn't look there since I couldn't get to the site, but I see old notes about previous renewals.

Your link worked for me from this site,

but I copied and pasted it into a search bar and get the same result as originally described. Curious why the difference? Am I missing something? Appreciate your quick response, and any suggestions about why using the club name won't work here?

I entered: 1142333.toastmastersclubs.org

and I copied/pasted your link which works from this forum response, but not with copy/paste.

Thought of another thing to try. I usually put the URL in the search bar from google, bing, etc. and get to my destination, but I tried the copy/paste from here and put it into the the search bar directly for the browser - it worked.
Tried again using google search, didn't work.

Maybe there is some setting on my computer but I don't know what it could be.

Yes, I got that, but every other URL I post in a search bar works.
I'll check with the other member and see if she is able to access the site. If not, I'll probably be back, if so, accept my thanks for your assistance.

Yeah, but unfortunately it is a quirk of how this forum software represents URLs in links. If you click on the link, it correctly navigates to the correct location, but when you copy/paste URLs from the forum, it will sometimes leave out parts of the URL even if it was entered correctly. (It is very frustrating for us too.) This is because when you copy/paste from the forum, you are copying/pasting what you see on the screen instead of the underlying URL. The forum software frequently leaves off parts of URLs as a shortening measure.

This is interesting, and thank you for your explanation. I can understand now why the difference between clicking on the link and copy/paste. I did the copy to be sure I didn't have a typo.

The other mystery is why I can't get to the website when I type the URL in the search box for bing or google, but it works directly from the browser search bar. I tried searching for my other club and had the same result, works from browser but not from the google or bing search bar, using the club number instead of club URL. I am always curious about why things don't work, and assume the disconnect is in the google search.

Since we can get to the website, problem is solved and we are working on getting that domain name renewed.

I appreciate your response.

You have never told bing or google how to reach 1142333.toastmastersclubs.org/
You only told them how to reach the custom domain by adding it to toastmasters.org find-a-club
