Hello;
The opt-in emails for two newly added officers have links that don't work. Opt-in email link was successful for other officers, not these two. Attempted with both Chrome and Firefox. The link generated by FTH includes our club's custom domain that was validated and works as a URL. Not sure why you might say the site does not exist.
I have tested sending member email from FTH and it works, so the email settings seem to be ok.
I can repost the opt-in link if you like, or refer to my "jumped" post. Thanks.

Thanks for looking into this, Brian. I just resent the opt-in email to our two new members and rec'd a quick reply from Laura saying she rec'd the email but the opt-in link still doesn't work. She forwarded a copy of the email and the link does not work for me either. Would you like to see a copy?

What email system is she using? We have found that some email systems mangle links in emails as a "mail safe links" measure. Have her try to copy/paste from the link into the browser address bar.

Also, it would help if you could post that link address here for our inspection.

Your DNS records still don't seem right. The MX record seems to be missing, and I'm not sure if the one for www is still there. www.lodotoastmasters.org doesn't work

please read the documentation for setting up your domain

1.2 You need to create or change four DNS records so they read as below - i.e. to point to the FreeToastHost server (substitute your domain name for domain.ext below):
Record
Type Entry IP Address/URL
A domain.ext 50.19.253.65
A www.domain.ext 50.19.253.65
A mail.domain.ext 50.19.253.65
MX 10 mail.domain.ext

Changed the domain settings as noted; see screen shots attached. The second image is after the change to the first line. Please advise if it makes any difference. Thanks.

Right now I do not see any broadcast from your domain registrar for lodotoastmasters.org

second image the 4th line is not legal. cname with the IP needs to be removed.

Made the change to the domain setting, see attached. Does that 4th line need a value?

So the change I made as noted in the most recent attachment is now blocking the domain. Not sure what the CNAME line designates, but it may be the reason the domain can't be reached. Should I just delete that line?

A follow up. I reached a knowledgeable CSR at the registrar and was told that the @ symbol on their service is used to represent the domain name. He made some edits to the record, see attached.
Seems to work ok. Note that on the Firefox browser, entering www.lodotoastmasters.org results in the "potential security risk" yellow screen. I was told this may have something to do with our security settings. The warning does not pop up with the Chrome browser, or I'm told with Safari. Is this anything we can fix? Thanks for your patience.

Yup. Looks like we have this resolved. One of the two officers noted above has confirmed the opt-in link worked OK and the other is probably busy. Unless something unexpected pops up, please consider this issue closed. Thanks for all your help.
