For the past 2 weeks (2 occasions) when our club secretary sends out the agenda email, several (not all) members are automatically moved to former member status, including myself (VPM), the secretary, the VPPR, and the Treasurer.
This is discovered when we cannot log into the club website. I was only able to log in as admin and move these members back into current member status. The notice that pops up says that these members requested via club email link. (see attached)

1) without the club number there is nothing we can do for you.
2) we will need the members who are affected first names at least

The names are highlighted in the attached. Note that I only highlighted the most recent (yesterday 6/7/2021) the bottom of the pdf will show the names that happened on 6/1/2021. As mentioned, I was able to change them back, but this situation is happening automatically without the members clicking on the "no longer a member" link at the bottom of the agenda email.
The attached PDF was copy/paste from the admin notes pop-up when I logged in as admin.

1) that message is issued by the system when someone clicks the link at the bottom of the agenda that says
"No longer a member? Use the following link/web page if you are no longer a member of this club:
Not A Member"

The message you received is very clear
Emilio Dominguez, PM2 has indicated via a "Not a Member?" email link that they are no longer a member of club
9491 and has requested that the system move them to Former Member status.

Therein lies the problem, I have not clicked on this and neither has any of the other club officers. There seems to be a glitch that auto-clicks that link, perhaps when we open the email to read it. This has happened 2 weeks in a row. Discovered when I tried to log in as Emilio. Also the VPPM, Stephen Branson & Secretary, Kelly Nitzman said that they couldn't log back into the club website. That's when I logged in as admin and saw the notes. I changed them back to current members and everything worked until today when I couldn't log in as member (VPM) again and logged in as admin and saw that the system "claims" that we clicked the unsubscribed button. I can assure you that we didn't.

If any of the emails containing the links are forwarded to someone else who clicks the link, it would have the same effect--the links are personalized to the original email recipient. There is no way to make the links update (or be hidden) when emails are forwarded--I accepted this limitation when I implemented the feature.

If you are having issues with this feature (not a member links), it can be disabled in the Email and Contact Forms module. (Email Security tab)
