I've tried several times to update the date of our next meeting on our club's home page. The page takes ages to save this change, but when I go out of the admin console, the change has not saved at all. (Club 1813882)

Your hobbs.com.au email address is giving the system heartburn.  It was entered for the admin email address and it was failing that for any changes to the Websites settings dialog.

I changed it to your gmail address (from Membership Management) and it saves just fine now.

THANK YOU SteveTheTechie! Such a simple solution... At least I had a gmail option to switch to.
But how do I cure the  system's heartburn for my other email address? Any suggestions?

Your mail server says it supports connecting using TLS protocol but the secure certificate does not verify back to your domain name
Cert Hostname DOES NOT VERIFY (mail.hobbs.com.au != sdc-cp111.server-cpanel.com | DNS:sdc-cp111.server-cpanel.com | DNS:www.sdc-cp111.server-cpanel.com)  So email is encrypted but the host is not verified

Your This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. domain seems to have some issues as Brian mentions.

You can use www.checktls.com/TestReceiver to test it out.  Notice the FAILs in the summary.  Our internal email address checker does not give us this level of detail (it is intended to normally work quickly) but sometimes we use this website for diagnostic / troubleshooting purposes.

When you were saving, it was our internal email address checker that was taking so long (hence the never ending spinner).  It does eventually return an error (in Google Chrome that I use), it was just taking forever in this case.  (probably because it has a retry loop in it)
