We have a new member whom I have tried unsuccessfully several times now to send the new member email. He gets it but he says there is no dropdown for him to sign in to the site to approve his addition. when I tried it on his behalf it brought me to the support site. can you help us get him added.

Michael has not yet opted in.  The opt-in email has 2 links.  He needs to click on the "agree" link in order for his details to be held on your club website.  There are no drop downs available to him until he has opted in.  You can resend the opt-in email from the Membership Tools dropdown near the top of the membership tab 

Once he has opted-in you can send him a New Member Welcome email (this is different to the opt-in email).
