Can someone pelase help me.  I changed our alias from our club number to name and it did not work.

When I try to access it with the name, it says site does not exist.

When I try to access it with the number, it takes me back to this generic page.

I am concerned that none of our club member have any access to the webpage now.

I have changed it back in a bit of a panic and it is now accessible as before.  It is 3797.

Do you knwo why it didn't work to change the alias to 'dangenongranges'   (the name of our club is Dandenong Ranges Toastmasters).

Many thanks

Well, for one thing, it helps if you use the proper club number.   You do not show up in our database for club number 3797, you show up for 3979.  We cannot help you much if you do not provide us specific, accurate, complete information.

Your club number is *not* a website alias.  You cannot remove it from use--that is by design so that there is always a way to access your website even if users mangle other access methods.

You can define a text based website alias for website access, ***in addition*** to the club number means of access.  It does not replace the club number means of access.

I looked at the current website alias for your club... It looks like you are confused about how to set this up.  You do not need to enter the entire website address for your website alias... you only need to enter the part that is between the "https://" & the ".toastmastersclubs.org" part of the website address... *that* piece of text is what we call the website alias.

If you wish to be able to access your club via "https:// dangenongranges.toastmastersclubs.org" (as an alternative to the club number method) then you would enter dangenongranges as the website alias.
