When i copy the agenda from an existing one.  I have attached an example.  It will accept the person for the role, but further down keep the name of the person that you copied the agenda from.  In the attachment, i have assigned Dave Fields for the role of Toastmaster.  But you can see on the image at 11:48 has Rhonda White as Toastmaster introducing the Table Topics Master.  It does fix it when I go back into the agenda and then resave.  It will replace all those instances with the correct person. But i find myself having to create the agenda, update it save, then go back in and resave.  An extra step is involved which sometimes i forget to go back in and resave which causes confusion when i email the agendas out and people skim the agenda and notice their name when they actually do not have a role.  Let me know if you need additional information.

thx,
-Joe

Make sure you're using the correct hash and asterisk notation for Repeating and Recurring roles.
Please read the relevant documentation here: support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/editing-an-agenda
