I was wondering if we discontinue our .com domain (i.e. tracytoastmasters.com vs. tracytoastmasters.org which we are keeping). what we need to do if anything with the DNS coding and how we do that. Do you do that as the hosting service?

Our board wondered a few years back why were were paying for an extra domain when so many would find us on a search engine, anyway. Please advise as to how we handle this. The autorenew happened today, and I removed the .com autorenwal.

Thank you in advance.

We require your club number to answer any questions.

What board? Clubs have executive committees not boards.

Sorry. Meant executive committee. I'm on the board of another nonprofit as well, and we're in the thick of an event right now, so board was on the brain.

Dropping the .com won't have any impact for FTH.
Searching google for "tracy toastmasters" only the .org shows up.

I notice none of your members have logged in inn over a year. Why isn't your club using the agenda and other features of FTH?

Thanks, Brian. I was thinking that the DNS address pointer would need to have the .com version removed, but I don't know who monitors that/how to change it.

One of the main reasons for very little logging on is that we are very down in numbers, but we do our agendas on easy-speak, I think since 2010 or more.
