Hiding Some Custom Pages 12 years 2 months ago #10240

I am trying to setup a series of custom pages to view our meeting videos, which
are all on flickr. What I would like is for the Members Only menu to only show one
page, called Meeting Videos, which opens the current year's videos. At the bottom
would be a navigational element, called Archives, which would contain links to 2011
videos (2011videos.html),2010 videos (2010videos.html), etc.

I have no problem setting up the pages, but then they ALL show up under the Members Only menu.

Is there a way to do this under FTH?

If you create a page it then shows in the menu, you can put all the videos for each year on a single page.

Thank you,

I would consider putting them on YouTube and creating a Youtube Channel. You can then embed the code for the channel on a page, it should show the most recent with links to past videos. The link will take you to YouTube where the videos are stored and users can select which one they want to view. You can upload the videos as private and also designate the playlist as private.

I don't know if Flikr does something similar.

Lynn, I wanted to provide a direct answer to your question. Answer: No. FTH2.0 does not currently allow new pages without links appearing in either the general or members' only navigation area.

I have requested the feature a while back because I can find a lot of great uses for that feature (just like you). I believe I even suggested a cap of 20-25 'invisible link' pages so that it wouldn't get out of hand. If for whatever reason, that feature is never made available, it won't reduce my level of gratefulness for the amazing 'free' templates, servers, development, support the the FTH owners and team provide.
